판문점(Panmunjom)은 대한민국과 북한 사이의 국경 지역 중 하나로, 한반도 분단의 중심지 중 하나입니다.
이 지역은 DMZ(비무장 지대) 내에 위치하며, 남북한 군인이 서로 마주보며 경계를 서는 곳으로 잘 알려져 있습니다. 다

판문점(JSA)

 

JSA stands for "Joint Security Area." It is a small portion of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates North Korea and South Korea. The JSA is perhaps the most well-known part of the DMZ and holds significant historical and diplomatic importance. Here are some key points about the JSA:

Location: The JSA is located within the DMZ, near the village of Panmunjom, which is roughly in the center of the Korean Peninsula. It is the only place along the DMZ where North and South Korean soldiers stand face-to-face.

Historical Significance: The JSA is where the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed in 1953, effectively ending active combat in the Korean War. Numerous diplomatic negotiations and meetings between North and South Korea have also taken place here over the years.

Military Presence: The JSA is heavily fortified and closely guarded by troops from both North and South Korea, as well as by personnel from the United Nations Command (UNC). Soldiers from both Koreas are stationed in close proximity, and tense stand-offs have occurred here in the past.

Panmungak Building: The Panmungak Building, located on the North Korean side of the JSA, is a notable structure often seen in photographs and videos. It is used by North Korean authorities for propaganda and surveillance purposes.
