입영통지서는 입영일로부터 30일 전까지 본인에게 E-mail(모바일앱) 또는 등기우편으로 송달됩니다. 현역병 입영 본인선택자와 나라사랑카드(모바일)를 통한 입영통지서 및 여비수령 동의자는 입영통지서가 E-mail(모바일앱)로 송부되며, 입영여비는 입영 후 5일 이내에 나라사랑카드 계좌로 입금됩니다. 그 외의 사람들은 입영통지서에 여비금액이 기재되어 등기우편으로 송달되며, 입영 전 가까운 우체국에서 수령할 수 있습니다.
현역병(육군)의 복무기간은 기본군사 훈련(5주)을 포함하여 18개월입니다. (2020년 6월 2일 이후부터는 21개월에서 단축하여 18개월로 진행됩니다.) 신병교육 이후 실제 복무부대 결정은 전산 무작위 추첨 방식에 따라 입영부대 일정에 따라 결정됩니다. 모든 지역은 지상군 작전사령부, 2작전사령부, 육군 직할 부대/국방부 직할 부대로 배치됩니다.

Training and Assignment: After enlisting, individuals undergo basic military training and are then assigned to their respective units and military specialties based on their aptitude and training needs.
Service Period: The length of military service varies depending on the branch and specific role but generally ranges from 18 to 21 months.
Discharge: Upon completing the designated period of military service, individuals are discharged from the military. Afterward, they typically receive a discharge leave and return to civilian life.
